BIOGRAPHIE
Avraham ‘Boolie’ Yehoshua, également connu sous le nom de A. B. Yehoshua est un romancier israélien né en décembre 1936 à Jérusalem. Il appartient à la cinquième génération de Juifs sépharades vivant en Israël. Avraham Yehoshua a embrassé la carrière d’écrivain à la fin de son service militaire. Il écrit de nombreux romans et est considéré comme l’un des auteurs contemporains les plus brillants en Israël et au-delà. Ses livres, traduits en 28 langues, lui ont valu de nombreux prix littéraires, dont le prestigieux Prix Israël de littérature pour l’ensemble de sa carrière en 1995. Il a reçu le prix Médicis étranger 2012 pour son roman Rétrospective. Avraham Yehoshua est également engagé dans le processus de paix israélo-palestinien et a participé à l’initiative de paix de Genève.
