Derrière la success story internationale d’Amos Oz, symbole de la conscience israélienne et écrivain traduit en 45 langues, se cache une double tragédie. Quand il avait 12 ans, sa mère s’est suicidée et quelques années avant sa mort, sa fille l’a accusé d’être physiquement et mentalement violent, mettant fin à toute communication avec lui. Une série de conversations avec son dernier biographe présenté dans le film, tisse des passages biographiques, de la littérature et des conversations avec les principaux personnages de sa vie, alors qu’Amos Oz raconte sa dernière histoire.
BIOGRAPHIE
Amos Oz, né le 4 mai 1939 à Jérusalem et mort le 28 décembre 2018 à Tel Aviv, est un poète, romancier et essayiste israélien. Il est professeur de littérature à l’université Ben Gourion de Beer-Sheva. Amos Oz est le co-fondateur du mouvement Paix Maintenant et est un fervent partisan d’une solution à deux états au conflit israélo-palestinien.
