Quand il était enfant, Niro, élevé dans une colonie juive, se lie d’amitié avec un berger arabe local, Muhammad. Il ne tarde pas à passer de plus en plus de temps en compagnie de garçons arabes de son âge. Muhammad lui donne en cadeau ‘’une ânesse‘’, aveugle d’un œil et qui ne convient pas pour les durs travaux. Niro l’adopte et la nomme Flicka. Devenu adulte, Niro opte totalement pour un style de vie rurale comme ses voisins arabes, bien qu’il ne se soit jamais converti à l’Islam. Aujourd’hui, Niro vit seul dans les collines et gagne sa vie en cultivant, avec Flicka pour seule compagnie. Un musicien accompli au Oud, Niro, à l’âge de 40 ans, chante en hébreu et en arabe dans les rues de Jérusalem, avec l’espoir d’une réconciliation avec son père et l’espoir de rencontrer l’amour.
When he was a child, Niro, raised on a Jewish settlement, befriended a local Arab shepherd, Muhammad. He soon began to spend more and more time in the company of Arab boys his own age. In his teens Niro was presented with an unusual gift: Muhammad gave him a female donkey, blind in one eye and no longer suitable for heavy work. Niro adopted her, called her Flicka and as an adult completely embraced the Arab rural way of life, though never formally converting to Islam. Today Niro lives alone in the hills and earns his living by farming crops, with Flicka as his only company. An accomplished musician on the Oud, Niro pays Hebrew and Arab music in the streets of Jerusalem, making tentative steps, at the age of 40, towards reconciliation with his father and hoping that one day, love will find him.

Nahum, the 75 year old owner of a picture-framing store, attempts to get rid of the last of his stock as he closes up his business for the last time. He is unprepared for the way that the memories inside the frames begin to blur the past and the present.

Nitzan, a young girl who feels out of step with her life, wants nothing to do with anyone. After behaving badly during an event at high school, she boards a bus and wishes only to be left alone for the duration of her journey. But lives, and her fellow passengers, have other plans for her.

Grandma Rebecca is forced to leave her home, her memories and move in with her children and grandchildren. The separation from her home and her life is unbearably hard. Her family guides her with love and sensitivity to a new future that also has room for her memories. A social documentary that takes an honest look at re-housing olds parents, and the freedoms and rights that they sacrifice as a result.

Eyal retourne à la maison après un voyage en Inde où il a pris la décision de devenir religieux. Il retarde le moment de révéler ce changement à sa famille, mais bientôt il ne peut plus le leur cacher. Ses parents laïcs sont effrayés et choqués par les changements survenus en lui. Son père accepte très difficilement ces changements, car il a, depuis longtemps, prévu que son fils se joindrait à lui comme partenaire à son cabinet d’avocats. Ne pouvant plus supporter les conflits et la douleur à la maison, Eyal part se réfugier dans une communauté hassidique Breslev. Il se retrouve dans un environnement totalement inconnu et doit, en quelque sorte, construire le pont qui le ramènera à sa famille.
Eyal returns home from a trip to India. While travelling he has made the decision to become religiously observant. Initially he delays revealing this to his family but soon he can no longer hide it from them. His secular parents are scared and shocked by the change in him. The transformation is hardest for Eyal’s father, who has long planned that his son will join him as a partner in his successful law firm. No longer able to bear conflict and pain at home Eyal leaves to take refuge in a Breslov Hassidic community. It is in this totally unfamiliar environment that he must somehow build the bridge that will lead him back to his family to him.

Après une année de bouleversement et de chaos, elle retourne au monastère pour retrouver le calme, la paix et le courage. Une histoire de femmes qui tendent la main l’une vers l’autre à travers un espace presque infranchissable d’âge, d’histoire, de culture et de religion.
Efrat, a religious woman who grew up in the secular world, is married to a young rabbi and raising three small daughters. Curiosity leads her to a Jerusalem monastery where she befriends several of the nuns to try and get a sense of the people they are, their faith and life’s mission. Then, a completely unforeseen and dramatic event in Efrat’s life irreversibly alters her reality. After a year of upheaval and chaos she returns to the monastery to look for the calm, quiet and courage she found there in the first place. A gentle story of women, reaching out, one to another across an almost unbridgeable gap of age, history, culture and religion.
