It is with great pleasure that the Communauté Sépharade Unifiée du Québec presents the 13th edition of the Montreal Israeli Film Festival.
This year 2018 marks the 70th anniversary of the State of Israel, and to this end the Festival offers a selection of more than twenty productions that are distinguished by their qualities and originality.
The Israeli films and documentaries attract the attention of both the critics and the public. Selected and awarded at international festivals, the feature films and documentaries attract and seduce.
The Festival is an event that enriches the viewer through the contribution of Israel’s creative genius. We can only encourage the way the Festival has chosen to make us laugh, cry, entertain and challenge us. Israeli cinema shows sensation and emotion. It reflects the aspirations, dreams and anxieties of the Israeli society.
We offer you the best of Israeli cinema in its original version with French and English subtitles.
I am very grateful to Chantal and Gérard Buzaglo, co-chairs of the festival for their dedication, enthusiasm and great passion for the realization of this important project.
